Grief Support Virtual Groups
Helping our Community Respond to Change and Loss
People are suffering from both trauma and grief and are more isolated than ever. Our healthcare personnel are grieving the patients they could not save and are working under conditions of stress that they have never before experienced. Our children and families are struggling to respond to change in routines and loss of loved ones.
All groups are provided at no charge due to the generosity of the Reliant Foundation.
Three groups are being formed on a rolling basis for:
- Families
- Adult Individuals
- Health Care Professionals
Each group will meet remotely once a week, and will be available for both English and Spanish speaking participants, and other languages as needed.
Each group would be facilitated by a professional clinician with knowledge of trauma. Children’s Friend’s expertise in supporting children and families through the Carriage House Grief Support program will provide the training and support the group facilitators. Two other Affiliate organizations of Seven Hills Foundation, YOU, Inc. and Family Services of Central Massachusetts, are collaborating with Children's Friend to bring their expertise to the community.
