The Seven Hills Assistive Technology Department was recently awarded a grant—Innovation Funding to Promote the Use of Supportive Technology, from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). The AT department used this grant to create Tech Champions: an initiative for individuals that raise awareness about assistive technology and assistive technology resources throughout their organizations. Taught by Steven Kessler, Seven Hills' AT Program Director, and Areeba Khan, Seven Hills' AT Specialist, program attendees work in a variety of client-facing positions and are passionate about technology. On March 28, the Seven Hills Assistive Technology Department held its first-ever training session with six tech champions! Seven Hills is excited to promote this new grant-funded initiative, and the Tech Champions as they share their AT knowledge and resources, Increasing awareness and access to all types of assistive tech!
