Critical Resource Addressing Food Insecurity
The Seven Hills Behavioral Health Food Pantries are anchored to the communities we serve through our Community Wellness Centers in Taunton, Fall River, and our flagship location in New Bedford. Our Food Pantries serve as a critical resource for community residents experiencing food insecurity. Those we serve are low-income and in need of food assistance, and/or experiencing homelessness, seniors and youth, people without stable housing, families and individuals who are food insecure, residents who have limited English proficiency, and individuals with health vulnerabilities, including those with mental health disorders and/or those struggling with addiction. Many of our Food Pantry visitors receive other services within the Seven Hills Behavioral Health System of Care.
Our Mobile Outreach teams visit areas known to include high-need individuals including those who are experiencing homelessness and/or affected by addiction, to distribute food and connect them to mental health and safety net services.
