Andrea works as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Seven Hills NeuroCare, providing speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and voice therapy to our group home residents with brain injuries.
As a student at Worcester State University, she thought she was going to become a Math teacher or pursue her career in teaching at large. However, when her daughter was diagnosed with a hearing loss, her interest in speech therapy developed. After she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in the field, she started a position with Seven Hills as a speech-language pathology assistant for preschoolers and young adults. She returned to Seven Hills as a Case Manager for the Aspire program after finishing graduate school. Upon completion of her certifications in speech-language pathology, she joined Seven Hills for a third time in her current role. She has worked in this role since 2017. She believes that people that work in NeuroCare play an important part in empowering communities by “breaking down walls, removing stigma, and giving a large part of themselves to others”.
