Our food pantries are often a touchpoint for individuals and families who could benefit from Seven Hills Behavioral Health Services. While picking up nonperishable food items, staff can open the door to conversations and help address some of the life factors that lead to food insecurity. Many who visit our food pantries are affected by substance abuse, homelessness, domestic violence, and health difficulties, including STIs and mental health crises. We can connect them to other Seven Hills Behavioral Health System of Care services. We also use Mobile Outreach teams to visit areas known to include high-needs individuals to distribute food and connect them to mental health and safety net services.
Seven Hills Behavioral Health provides a path to a process of change through which people improve their overall sense of health and wellness. We do this by offering a comprehensive range of behavioral health and education services. Our three Outpatient clinics – including the flagship Seven Hills Behavioral Health Center in Worcester and satellite clinics in Southbridge and Milford – operate within the Seven Hills Behavioral Health system of care. All clinics are licensed by the MA Department of Public Health and the Bureau of Substance Use Services and accredited by the Council of Accreditation.
Thank You Community Partners for Your Unwavering Support!
BankFive
Seven Hills Behavioral Health was awarded a $1,000 grant from BankFive to support our New Bedford food pantry. With this generous gift, we can continue serving community members experiencing food insecurity. Our food pantries are one of the essential wraparound services Seven Hills Behavioral Health provides to individuals and families who need additional support. Families can feel at a disadvantage while facing difficulties in providing meals for their loved ones, and we are grateful for BankFive’s commitment to our mission during this time.
First Citizens' Charitable Fund
With support from the First Citizens’ Charitable Fund, Seven Hills Behavioral Health provides essential services to individuals and families struggling with food insecurity in Bristol County. Seven Hills Behavioral Health received a $1,000 grant to help stock our food pantries in New Bedford, Fall River, and Taunton with nonperishable food items.
Our food pantries serve children and families, individuals, and elderly community members. Many of the people we connect with on-site or through our mobile outreach are without stable housing, have limited English proficiency, and/or have health vulnerabilities, including mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
