The Open Door Gallery at the Worcester Art Museum, ODG@WAM, provides permanent studio and gallery space for artists with disabilities to create and exhibit artwork within a world-class art museum. Cultivating the common ground between the three organizations, ODG@WAM provides opportunities for Seven Hills Foundation and VSA Massachusetts participants as well as the larger community to engage with art, while supporting the museum’s broader vision of inclusion. Funds from this grant will be used towards costs for the newly created Accessibility & Inclusion Coordinator position. The A & I Coordinator will manage, further develop, and expand the Open Door Gallery program while also nurturing the relationship between partners and participants.
We are so thankful to the J. Irving and Jane L. England Charitable Trust for their continued support of ODG@WAM and their award to help us strengthen and grow this exciting partnership!
