YOU, Inc. is grateful for a generous grant of $11,000 from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s Vaccine Equity Fund to support our Parent Ambassadors training program. Our Worcester and Southbridge Community Connections Coalitions serve vulnerable and at-risk families, including many individuals of color and the vibrant and growing immigrant community in our city. The WCCC is tasked with mobilizing and aligning community-led responses to the identified needs of at-risk families. To educate individuals hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, this grant has allowed us to recruit and train Parent Ambassadors in Worcester and Southbridge. The vaccine ambassadors have learned how to to have meaningful conversations about vaccination with friends, family, and community members, and are able to share evidence-based information about the COVID-19 vaccines.
