The Webster Five Foundation has joined a list of partners supporting Seven Hills Foundation affiliate, Open Door Arts, with providing virtual art classes and tours at the Open Door Gallery at the Worcester Art Museum (ODG@WAM). Virtual programming and classes have become the norm since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic to minimize exposure. To keep creative juices flowing and provide social engagement for people with disabilities, funds from the Webster Five Foundation will enable ODG@WAM to provide virtual art classes, like Create in 20, which guides participants in creating amazing art projects in twenty minutes. For the more experienced artists, ODG@WAM is also offering a more in-depth and rigorous experience for aspiring artists with disabilities to improve their skills, develop a portfolio of work, and exhibit their work in an online exhibit through the Elements of Art class. All classes are taught by Worcester Art Museum teaching artist and explore different art techniques that are displayed at the museum. Thank you so much to the Webster Five Foundation for helping us give people with disabilities an artistic outlet while the pandemic continues to keep us six feet apart.
