The Women’s Initiative of United Way of Central Massachusetts has continued their longstanding support of Seven Hills Family Services with a grant award of $16,290 annually in FY21 and FY22 towards our Just Us Girls programs. Middle school-aged girls with disabilities are an extremely vulnerable population, who are often easy targets of bullying and harassment. Just Us Girls is a unique skills development program for girls with special needs that uses evidence-based curricula that are specifically designed for individuals with disabilities to explore important topics such as building healthy relationships, encouraging healthy behaviors and lifestyles, and promoting health and safety. With the Women’s Initiative of United Way of Central MA support, we will be able to continue this wonderful program for girls with disabilities living in central Massachusetts.
