Seven Hills ASPiRE! is excited to thank the National Grid Foundation for awarding $15,000 to our Workforce Readiness and Employment program. For many people, an internship is where they learn social and functional skills required to be successful in a work setting; however, many internships nowadays are unpaid. Generous funds from the National Grid Foundation will enable individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities participating in the ASPiRE! Workforce Readiness and Employment program to receive stipends while they gain job-related skills during their internship. Because of the National Grid Foundation, participants will not only learn a new skill set but will also learn how to receive and process paychecks, budget, and how to save and spend their hard-earned cash. Thank you so much to the National Grid Foundation for this wonderful award!
