The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified the need for grief support in our community, especially for our youth. Children have suffered the loss of siblings, parents, and primary caregivers not only directly from the virus, but also from the increase in drug over-doses that have been seen during this time in Worcester County and across the country (Mass.gov).
We would like to introduce Stacey Aguiar. Stacey works as a Registered Nurse in the Early Intervention Program at Seven Hills Rhode Island. She mostly works with children from birth to 3 years of age.
The act of creating art enhances the independence, quality of life, social outcomes, and self-esteem for people with disabilities. Open Door Arts would like to thank the Webster Five Foundation for their recent generous grant of $2,500 to support arts programing through the Open Door Gallery at the Worcester Art Museum (ODG@WAM).
Seven Hills Rhode Island is grateful to the Rhode Island Foundation for their $5,000 grant to support the basic needs of individuals in our Adult Day Habilitation and Residential Support programs. Thank you for this basic-needs funding that allows the individuals in our programs to live as independently as possible.
