The United Way of Central Massachusetts has awarded $8,863 to Children’s Friend, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation. These wonderful funds will be used towards providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy for children seeking services at the Ellsworth Clinic. Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based therapy that teaches children and young adults to respond differently to situations in their lives that trigger their urges to harm themselves. This year’s eBigger Dipper was held VIRTUALLY, keeping everyone safe, yet making sure everyone who participated was still able to enjoy local ice cream, all while reaching our goal to raise over $40,000 for our kids! All proceeds go right to our programs at Children’s Friend, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation that support children and families through mental health counseling, in-home therapy, adoption and family services, early childhood and education, and grief support.
The Women’s Initiative of United Way of Central Massachusetts has continued their longstanding support of Seven Hills Family Services with a grant award of $16,290 annually in FY21 and FY22 towards our Just Us Girls programs.
This summer, the United Way of Central Massachusetts awarded YOU, Inc. with three grants from the Creating Community Change (C3) and Summer Strong grant programs.
