"Patient, Patient", a solo exhibit by Camilla Jerome
is on view at the Open Door Gallery @ Worcester Art Museum
from December 10, 2024 - March 10, 2025.
The community is invited to the Opening Reception on Thursday, January 30, from 4:30-7:00pm.
We invite you to join us for the opening reception of Patient, Patient with artist Camilla Jerome.
Join us at 4:30pm for light refreshments and time to explore the exhibition. Starting around 5:30pm Camilla will give brief artist remarks about her ideas and process. From 6-7:00pm, she will lead a workshop on the cyanotype process. Capacity for the workshop is limited to 15 people and registration is required.
Camilla shares about her artwork:
"Patient, Patient is a testament to my lived experience of being silenced and disregarded as a woman in pain. Through a combination of past and present projects, I focus on the different methods of making, meditate on the process and materiality of healing, and express my embodied knowledge. My artistic practice has grown alongside my pain, and my life is inseparable from these images on paper, bedsheets, shells, and bone. Like a silver print developing in the darkroom, I'm bringing clarity to the surface by reaching out from the corners of my psyche to reclaim lost time and missed connections."
