Seven Hills Behavioral Health (SHBH) is grateful to the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts – James Arnold Fund for its continued support of our Food Pantry with its recent grant in the amount of $2,000. The SHBH Food Pantry is situated in our Community Wellness Center located in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Serving men and women who suffer from substance abuse, homelessness, and domestic violence, the Food Pantry is vital a community resource for this vulnerable population, and the community at large. The Food Pantry supports over 2,900 adults and children annually (over 241 people each month) by providing ready-to-eat meals and non-perishable food items. Community Health Workers and volunteers at the SHBH Food Pantry also connect clients to critical community resources such as social services, substance use and mental health supports, workforce development, transportation, primary health care, and housing; over 581 supported referrals were made last fiscal year. Thank you again to the James Arnold Fund for all of your support. Your continued faith in our work makes all of this possible!
