Laura Woessner, an Accounting Associate/Contract Billing Specialist on our Finance team, will retire on Friday, September 30th following a remarkable 40+ year career.
 
Laura joined YOU, Inc. in January of 1982, at a time of rapid growth for the agency. As our footprint in Worcester County grew over the next four decades – with expansion to new communities, major shifts in the operation and funding of human services, and the addition of dozens of new programs and program sites – so too did the complexity of Laura’s position.
 
With unwavering patience, Laura assisted YOU, Inc.’s management team and staff to navigate all phases of the billing process, from resolving billing and collections issues, to managing countless amendments and re-contracting issues. Laura’s expertise and experience in the field was a key factor in the agency’s ability to successfully bid for, negotiate, and manage the many large state and federal grants that fund our more than 30 programs today.
 
As Laura retires and looks forward to more travel and time and with her family and grandchildren, we thank her for her dedication, friendship, and service to YOU, Inc. In no small part, her work has made a significant impact in the lives of thousands of vulnerable youth and families across Worcester County.
