The Corporate College at Seven Hills continued a Professional Development Speaker Series today, March 12, with a session on Preparing for Adulthood, presented by Liz Martineau, BCBA, President and Clinical Director of Nashoba Learning Group. Staff members from across Seven Hills earned continuing education units focusing on individuals with moderate to severe autism. Ms. Martinueau demonstrated the success of her students who received quality ABA programming geared towards building a wide variety of skills into routines that has helped them become as successful as possible as adults at home, in the workplace and in the community. The ABA techniques used included task analyzed instruction, incidental teaching, discrete trial teaching, and stimulus fading to build repertoires of skills essential to success in adulthood.
"Liz’s presentation was very informative. Full of examples, tools and practical approaches to build the social and work skills needed for young adults with autism to be successful in the community." - Sharon Brownfield, Chief Learning Officer, Seven Hills Foundation
