Family Services of Central Massachusetts, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation, would like to thank the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development for Round 3 funding in the amount of $100,000 to support the Child Care Development Specialist Apprenticeship program. This program helps apprentices build competency in child development, classroom management, and curriculum through a 150 hours of classroom training, 2,000 hours of on-the-job training, and with the guidance and support of on-site mentors. Upon completion of the program apprentices qualify for the national Child Development Associate credential and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care Teacher Certification. Thank you, Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development for your ongoing commitment to Family Services of Central Massachusetts, the apprentices in this program, and children, and families they serve.
