Family Services of Central Massachusetts (FSCM), an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation, would like to thank the District 1199c Training and Upgrading Fund for the recent grant of $10,000 for The Project Flourish Child Development Apprenticeship Program. Project Flourish is a registered Childcare Apprenticeship Program that trains early childhood workers recently hired in group childcare programs that serve low-income families with the opportunity to secure employment and/or advancement in the field of early education and care. Modeled after apprenticeships in traditional trades, the program supports the advancement of early career professionals through a combination of classroom instruction, mentoring, professional networking, pay increases when benchmarks are reached, and, upon graduation, professional certifications. Without the support of funders like the District 1199c Training and Upgrading Fund Project Flourish would be unable to support entry level works on their employment journey in the Worcester community. Thank you!
