Seven Hills Behavioral Health recently received generous support for our food pantries from BayCoast Bank. The $1,000 grant demonstrates BayCoast Bank’s ongoing commitment to helping us serve vulnerable members of our community. Together, we provided hundreds of non-perishable food items to food-insecure individuals and families at our New Bedford food pantry location.
Our food pantries are an essential part of how we deliver wraparound services. They are a place to connect with individuals and families who often need additional support. These touch points open the door to conversations that allow staff to help address some of the life factors leading to food insecurity. Many who visit the food pantries are affected by substance abuse, homelessness, domestic violence, and other health difficulties, including STIs and mental health crises. We are able to connect them to other services within the Seven Hills Behavioral Health System of Care. We also use Mobile Outreach teams to visit areas known to include high-needs individuals to distribute food and connect them to mental health and safety net services.
Seven Hills Behavioral Health provides a path to a process of change through which people improve their overall sense of health and wellness. We do this by offering a comprehensive range of behavioral health and education services. Our three Outpatient clinics – including the flagship Seven Hills Behavioral Health Center in Worcester and satellite clinics in Southbridge and Milford – operate within the Seven Hills Behavioral Health system of care. All clinics are licensed by the MA Department of Public Health and the Bureau of Substance Use Services and accredited by the Council of Accreditation.
Our expertise includes outpatient individuals and family therapy, child psychiatry, family resource centers, therapeutic mentoring, family stabilization and support services, college access services, and vocational training.
In Southeastern Massachusetts, we provide comprehensive health promotion services that include HIV/STI and substance abuse education and prevention programming, linkage to care and treatment, Naloxone education, and syringe services programming.
Services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each person and are built upon evidence-based practices for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Seven Hills recognizes the importance of establishing and sustaining meaningful collaborations in the community. It has many long-standing partnerships that help provide the most comprehensive wraparound care. We believe these relationships are crucial to delivering effective services, and as community needs arise, Seven Hills continues to develop new and effective ways to respond.
