We would like to introduce Stacey Aguiar. Stacey works as a Registered Nurse in the Early Intervention Program at Seven Hills Rhode Island. She mostly works with children from birth to 3 years of age. Her work involves helping children who are at risk of, or who are currently experiencing, developmental delays. After a child is referred to her, she does an evaluation for the child to assess their needs and then coordinates with doctors, occupational therapists, speech therapists, or dieticians to develop a plan for treatment. Stacey has been with us for fourteen years and previously worked in numerous nursing jobs in school and hospital settings.
As a mother who has seen her own child struggle, she emphasizes the importance of communicating with parents, particularly those who may be totally unaware of the issues or illness their child may be experiencing. Stacey finds it challenging to keep her emotions in check sometimes, as the work she does is extremely close to her heart. Moreover, she has been very fortunate with her team, as everyone is incredibly supportive. Thank you, Stacey, for your hard work!
