Introducing, Ziad Abuwardeh, Case Manager at Seven Hills Shared Living. Ziad’s day-to-day work involves health visits and check-ins to ensure the clients’ needs are met, follow-ups on their health status and completion of paperwork.
Ziad started off his professional journey in an area that was entirely different from nonprofit and community service. He received his degree in graphic design and film making, and worked in the field for 5 years. During that time, he took the opportunity to work with refugee children in Jordan. This experience made him realize he actually wanted to pursue an area where he could directly help underprivileged people that are suffering in different ways - be it housing issues, health, finances or emotional well-being. Thus, he switched his career to Human Services and came to the US in 2016. Hailing from a Palestinian/Jordanian background, Ziad shares that he had to overcome struggles such as language barriers and cultural shock. However, he has seen people from all different religions, cultures and national origins work together as a family at Seven Hills - which makes him feel encouraged and happy to be here. Thank you so much for your valuable contributions, Ziad!
