Meet our Director of Community Health Services for Seven Hills Behavioral Health, Connie Rocha-Mimoso. Connie’s work includes many community outreach initiatives and programming in the Southeast region of Massachusetts, where she attends and contributes at community public health meetings, as well as conferences for substance abuse and mental health. With much of her work taking place in the community, Connie works with a wide range of stakeholders like churches, local school systems, the State Department of Public Health, Local Health Departments, police departments, and community healthcare organizations to ensure individuals in need are educated about all the resources available to them.
To spread awareness about healthcare, she plays a vital role in organizing community programming such as mobile covid testing units, mobile vaccination clinics, key speaker events, workshops, and social gatherings. Working in the community has always been important to Connie and she works tirelessly providing on-the-ground supports. Her efforts include to eliminating the stigmas surrounding addiction, raising awareness for HIV discrimination, victims of overdose, domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness. From her 27 years of experience at Seven Hills, Connie shared about community outreach stating, “it makes a person open-minded and non-judgmental.” Connie believes that everyone has a story to tell—we must be compassionate enough to listen! Thank you for your contributions, Connie!
