We hope you are excited to meet our next team member - Luz Irizarry, Luz is a Coordinator at Seven Hills Rhode Island office in Cranston. Joining us just two years ago, Lucy, as she likes to be called, works as a Home Based Treatment Coordinator providing services to families and children with disabilities or behavioral needs. The team (clinician and coordinator) oversee the Direct Super Providers who are working with these clients working on Activities of the Daily Living, Safety and Self-Preserving Decisions and Social Roles and Social Settings to become independent, to connect with their communities, and staying physically and mentally active. 
 
As a Spanish speaker, she also facilitates conversations between families that are part of the PASS or HBTS program - and the clinicians they work with - by translating their issues and needs. She mentions that getting families to cooperate or enroll in certain programs could potentially be challenging at times, but communicating honestly and openly about the benefits of those services has always persuaded people to work with them. She also believes her true reward for the job is received when she is “able to help a family in need and it leads to a positive outcome for them”. Thank you for your work, Luz!
