Since the beginning of the pandemic, Seven Hills Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation, has been at the front lines providing COVID-19 testing, food, rent relief, and other forms of aid to those in need as we try to keep COVID-19 at bay. Just recently, Seven Hills Behavioral Health was granted authorization and funds by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to distribute COVID-19 vaccines throughout the masses as the vaccine has become more and more accessible.
Unfortunately, there are pockets of our population that are still having difficulties getting the vaccine. Some people have barriers getting to a vaccination site, like finding reliable transportation, while other people may not be comfortable receiving a vaccine in traditional healthcare settings. But, thanks to the Amelia Peabody Charitable Foundation and their generous $42,000 grant, Seven Hills Behavioral Health will be able to purchase a brand-new Mobile Health Van to distribute the vaccine and provide other behavioral health services to people living in southeastern Massachusetts.
With a brand-new Mobile Health Van from the Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund and support from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, we feel more than ready to help the people of southeastern Massachusetts fight COVID-19.
