Seven Hills Foundation is proud to support National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Held each October, NDEAM aims to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities.

Seven Hills’ “Just Us Girls” program was featured at the Women’s Initiative of United Way’s Annual Stepping Up for Girls event on September 24th at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA. Featured speakers included Kerianne Young and Liz Hackett, (in photo), who have both participated in “Just us Girls” since it was developed 12 years ago by Kerianne’s mother, Dianne, who sought to create a fun and meaningful and inclusive social opportunity for her daughter.

Internationally, we are witness to one of the largest mass migrations of individuals from countries in the Middle East (e.g. Syria, Iran, etc.) to welcoming nations in Europe.

Please join me in honoring the true unsung heroes at Seven Hills - our fellow staff members who work in Direct Support roles, assisting individuals with disabilities and life challenges in their quest to lead dignified and self-determined lives. The week of September 13-19 has been designated as "National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week," an important movement aimed at recognizing - and, most important - thanking people who have chosen to support and care for others as their life's profession.

Seven Hills is pleased to participate in the Department of Developmental Services' Urban Youth Collaborative Program (UYCP), hiring summer interns to assist with the care of individuals with developmental disabilities at our program sites. For over 22 years, more than 300 high school and college age youth have contributed to the lives of many people in our care through the success of the Urban Youth Collaborative Program.
