As we round closer to the one-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic changing our lives, non-profit organizations around the country are still struggling to supply enough Personnel Protective Equipment and technologies that provide ease of services to staff and individuals supported. For these reasons, Seven Hills Rhode Island would like to thank the Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation for recognizing our efforts in trying to keep staff and the individuals we serve healthy and safe with a $10,000 grant award from the What’s Important Now Fund to do just that.
With the help of the Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation, we will be able to provide all of our staff members working directly with individuals with disabilities with face shields; iPads for members of our residential homes to take part in day programming while staying socially distanced, and Chromebooks for children supported in our home-based child and family services programs to borrow for their hybrid school classes.
Thank you so much to the Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation for this wonderful award as we work closer to a COVID-19 free world.
