Seven Hills ASPiRE! has been awarded $15,000 from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation towards their Workforce and Employment Readiness Program in FY19 as we add an additional training site located at the Stearns Inn and Tavern, which has been relocated and currently undergoing renovations at Coe’s Reservoir in Worcester. In a harmonious setting, Stearns Tavern will have a new and exciting life complementing the unique universal playground and park that will provide recreational opportunities for persons of all abilities and ages and economic development opportunities for people with disabilities. A Seven Hills Café will be housed in the historic Tavern as will restroom facilities and community meeting space. ASPiRE! participants will help to provide services including hospitality, food service, landscaping and facilities maintenance as part of the ASPIRE! workforce readiness and job skills training program to help them prepare for meaningful employment in their community.
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation grant award will provide ASPiRE! with the training equipment needed to open our new training site at Stearns Tavern. We are so appreciative to the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for their continued partnership and confidence in our work.
