This summer, the United Way of Central Massachusetts awarded YOU, Inc.  with three grants from the Creating Community Change (C3) and Summer Strong grant programs. The United Way Board of Directors awarded $17,550 in C3 funding to Dynamy Youth Academy, which also received $20,000 from the Summer Strong initiative. These funds will support services throughout the summer and into the next school year for promising high school students whose low-income, first-generation status puts them at risk of not reaching their full academic and career potential. The Board also awarded $37,665 in C3 funding and $10,000 of Summer Strong funding to the HOPE Model, which increases access to mental health supports for low-income youth of color by working in partnership with YouthConnect agencies and providers.
