Open Door Arts would like to offer our sincerest gratitude to Webster Five Foundation for their recent support of the Connecting and Creating Through the Arts program. The Webster Five Foundation has pledged $1,500 to support this joint venture between Open Door Arts, Seven Hills ASPiRE!, and the Worcester Arts Museum (WAM) to provide world-class visual arts instruction to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program operates the Open Door Gallery in the Worcester Arts Museum (ODA@WAM) where individuals partake in visual arts classes, and synchronous virtual classes for participants unable to attend in-person. This year the program expanded to include in-person classes at the ASPiRE! sites. The program concludes in June with an exhibit of participant’s creations in the ODG@WAM. Through Webster Five Foundation’s support, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities will gain access to life-enhancing visual arts experiences.
